Meet DEEBOT M82 – a beautiful, extremely efficient, ground cleaning robotic with superior suction. DM82 replaces your broom for bare-floor cleaning and helps out with every day carpet vacuuming even when nobody is at residence.
DEEBOT M82 is straightforward to function, has a long-lasting lithium battery that works as a much as 150 minutes per charge
Cleans up with a powerful suction motor that options an additional MAX mode for deep cleansing.
Euro-Asian conglomerate Ecovacs has been making robotic vacuum cleaners since 2006, which doesn’t make them certainly one of many founding fathers of the commerce nonetheless inside the fast-moving high-tech world means they’ve been spherical longer than, say, the iPhone, an interval that may someday be referred to as the Years BI (or Bi).
The Deebot M82 isn’t actually fashioned like a “D” — for that you simply want to take a look at vacs from Neato — and its flying saucer design is getting considerably overly acquainted inside the robovac world, nonetheless its lithium-ion batteries supplies you with 150 minutes of exercise earlier than it scoots off to its charging dock, which is rapidly turning into the associated fee mark to beat.
It has an extra-large dustbin, so besides you reside in a fixer-upper that you just not too way back purchased from the Addams Household you perhaps won’t should empty it throughout that point. It has a brush design optimized for deep cleaning on carpets and you may set the vacuum carry out to Max Mode for additional suck — within the excellent sense of the time interval, in spite of everything.
Ecovacs claims that the DEEBOT M82 bot is vitality environment friendly, which can have been surmised from the corporate’s title, though its friendliness to your electrical bill would possibly rely upon what number of rooms you program it to wash.
The DEEBOT M82 has collision and drop detection, nonetheless doesn’t embrace HEPA filters out of the sphere. You have to add these for an additional price. The price of a model new mannequin is pretty good, though, so that mustn’t make the unit unusually pricey, nonetheless word that the producer warns that off-the-shelf filters may not match with the hefty bin. (Customized filters are on the easiest way and can already be on the market by the purpose you study this.) Some clients complain that it misses a small amount of mud, nonetheless tends to pick it up on later passes.
- Essential brush design is good for deep cleansing on carpets
- Extremely efficient battery life – provides as a lot as 150 minutes of cleansing per price
- Stair security, impediment detection, auto charging, scheduled cleanings (every day and weekly)

Excellent robot vacuum
I have had the Ecovac Deebot M82 for less than a week, but I have put it through its paces and it is very impressive. I have hardwood with area rugs, tile in the kitchen and carpeting in the basement. It does a great job cleaning the wood and tile as well as the area rugs, but as the instructions indicate, you need to tuck fringes underneath so they don’t get caught (same for thin wires that most phone chargers have). The carpeting cleaning is wonderful and thorough. It runs for at least 2 hours and 45 minutes on a full charge and has always found its way back to the charging station. I have it clean the living room, dining room, entry hall and kitchen on one charge. Also did upstairs hall and two bedrooms on one charge. It did get stuck under a chair which was the exact wrong height, but with a minor adjustment to the chair, that won’t happen again. Cleaning the machine is simple and straightforward (perhaps a larger dust bin would be nice, so you don’t have to empty between charges). The pre-set cleaning time function with the remote works well. I have also tried the single room cleaning function and that works well (the charging station needs to be in the same room, otherwise it just keeps cleaning until it runs out of battery life). I use the single room max cleaning for the kids’ rooms and that is great. I was a little concerned about it falling down the stairs, but the sensors work well. Sometimes in very bright sunlight the optical proximity sensors are slightly impaired, but the moment it touches an object it backs away. Great machine and good value. I highly recommend.
Seems to recognize objects easily and is gentle when approaching things
Purchased this for my husband. We run it about 4-5 times a week to pick up the dust bunnies and dog hair. It has had some trouble finding it’s home base at times and sometimes gets hung up on things. We don’t usually program it to run when we aren’t home as we have one dog that roams free in the house. It is extremely quiet and you could run it while you sleep, but we don’t. Mostly we let it run around the house while we are doing something else. It has lasted up to 2.5 hours at one time. We have an open floor plan and it eventually gets to most of the places it needs to go. I find that closing a door or blocking it with something simple will keep it away from areas I don’t want it to clean. Hasn’t had any trouble going from hardwood to carpet. Seems to recognize objects easily and is gentle when approaching things, especially the dog. It has cleaned around her while she was sleeping and she didn’t move a muscle, but she is a little hard of hearing. The other dogs didn’t like “Hazel” the robotic cleaning woman at first, but now they really don’t care about her. Super easy to clean. We dump the dust pan after each use and we clean the roller brush about once a week. It meets our expectations and I would definitely recommend this over the competition. But, it’s all about expectations. We don’t expect this to clean as well as a human. But I’ve only gotten my upright out once since we brought Hazel home.
It’s like a live-in maid
Over ten years ago I bought a Roomba. It worked great for several months, but tended to be noisy and then gave up the ghost. Fast-forward to June 2017.
I love this robotic vacuum. Easy to set up. Easy to use. And it picks up an incredible amount of household floor grunge – even when my floors and rugs have just recently been carefully cleaned. All I need to do is clear electric cords and small furniture out of the way, then turn the DEEBOT on. Easy. This vacuum runs very quietly, doesn’t bang into or mar the woodwork or furniture, and I love that it will take itself “home” if it needs a recharge. The only complaint I might ever have would be that I can waste far too much time just watching this robot make its way around … around a room, around the table and chair legs, in and out of corners, all around the house. I can get mesmerized, like watching fish in an aquarium. Too much fun! I recommend this product highly.
Little guy runs great and keeps the living area clean
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother. She loves the thing in comparison to a Bissell brand robot vac she had before. I set it in the morning at 7 and it usually finishes by 9am. It cleans a 600-700 sq ft part of the house which includes low pile carpet, bamboo carpet, and rugs. Little guy runs great and keeps the living area clean. It can get over all the rugs I have set, but it will get tangled in shoe laces and small objects on the floor will get stuck in the brushing mechanism. It seems to like to get stuck under the dining table and chairs for a good half an hour+ sometimes, but it usually gets around the room before going back to its dock.
Great Vacuum and Customer-Care but Possible System Errors after a Year
I bought this a year ago and it has been working really hard cleaning our living room clean ever since. It is very effective and I have been very happy with the purchase.
I loved it when it worked…
I love it! I usually vacuum and steam mop my floor twice a week. Now it takes care of the floor vacuuming for me, and all I have to do is steam mopping. This little wonder saves me a lot of hassle!
Good Value For The Price!
I had an original Roomba from when they first came out (still have it but never use it). Technology has come a LONG way since then. My new M82 is amazingly quiet…in regular mode you can hardly tell it’s running. In Power Mode, she is a beast! Still very quiet but does an amazing job! My biggest test was cat litter…with 2 cats, they drag the litter all over the place… No fun stepping barefoot on sharp litter in the middle of the night. The M82 handles litter just fine! The extra battery length is awesome. I can do the entire house in Power Mode and not run out of juice. The remote is easy to use. The only 2 negatives is it does not use an app, so there is no ability to start the unit when you are away from home (no a biggy to me) and it does not map the house…this unit is a “bump and turn” type. I’ve seen some units that actually map your house and display it on the app. The point is for those features you are looking at a unit TWICE the price. The M82 is well built, does a great job and is affordable. That’s a winner in my book!
